Habitat wall + Infrastructure Project- London UK

A major infrastructure was required to intercept an existing sewer below a green field site leaving a series maintenance cover and structures which requires to be  1.6m above the ground and flood level. Instead of leaving a concrete platform with handrail for maintenance safety on the corner of the field, the proposal was to surround the structure with a habitat wall as its cladding and protection barrier. The wall will provide habitat for insects, invertebrate as well as encouraging the number of bats and bird roosting around the area while concealing the above ground infrastructure and protecting personnels during frequent maintenance.
